Fact or Fiction…?

The things that go bump in the night
that wakes us up and gives us a real fright
It may be real or it’s just a feeling
But it sure can leave us reeling
The faces in the dark is it just an illusion?
Or is it the truth the mind shows during the confusion
There are many things hiding in plain sight
It may appear as a trick of the light
The goosebumps you get can be your sense taking over
When the civilization fades away and your strength of mind is lower
The voices in the night can be quite a temptation
Maybe the only one to turn to during our times of desperation
Remember too much of everything can be real bad
That which appears good passes away like a fad
Horrors exist within the body and mind
Dont be surprised with what you can find
So remember when you retire for the night
Look under the bed to avoid that fright
The world we know runs on a fine balance
So don’t be too sure and put on that air of nonchalance

  1. Like Carol I too am not really into horror stuff, but I like the picture more because of its mysterious quality. Interesting poem too… I particularly like the line – that which appears good passes like a fad… 🙂

  2. I am so glad I found another Horror blog. I thought there’d be a few! I love things dark and unknown. Your poem and image really sets the perfect mood!

  3. I am not such a huge fan of Horror.. but I do enjoy a good mystery!
The pic and the poem go very well together! 🙂

  4. So remember when you retire for the night
Look under the bed to avoid that fright
    :-
I jump at the slightest sound made at home. Perfect for a horror theme.
