Lost Treasure

An ancient civilization lost to the world
Their life now lie buried underground
For all their search for fame and glory
To the dust they are bound

In his pursuit of a successful future
Man forgets to live in the now
Always worrying about the morrow
When today could be lived and how

Life is something to be lived for
Each and every moment, a treasure
When that fact is forgotten
Man loses his sense of measure

Dont give up on life’s experience
Dont give up on that pleasure
For you never know when
It might become a lost treasure

This is  a lost treasure 100 word prompt from  Corinne’s Write Tribe bloghop. The poem has exactly 100 words 🙂

  1. Dont give up on life’s experience
Dont give up on that pleasure
    For you never know when
It might become a lost treasure

These lines are so beautiful and so true. We are busy in the rat race of life that we overlook life’s simple pleasures.

  2. I know and anyone who knows you know that you live up to the words! Something that we learn from you…….. Thanks!
Whatever great post! ………… & am saving the poetry
