Phenomenal World gets a glimpse of the menu of the born again Made in Punjab who had a brand makeover with BBQD. With demand for its previous menu, the glorious days are back !!
When Made in Punjab first started, it had created a rave with their innovative dishes and concept. The good news is that the MIP menu is now back in BBQD. Now you can have the best of economy and the elite at the same place.
I was fortunate to partake of their dishes and add to that the new Rauchbier on tap and you have a winner.
What we wolfed?
LoL tikki – Leg of lamb. An exquisite creation which also used bone marrow. It was sheer melt in the mouth and with the smoked tomato chutney and the Rauch a brilliant pairing. Chef Mahabir and Suresh sir also gave their insight on choosing the best lamb/mutton .This is their signature dish.
Kalmi kebab – a rich succulent prep of chicken legs, it was creamy with perfectly balanced flavors. Went well with the masala saison
Sarson Olive Machine – Sole fish expertly done with beautiful flavors of mustard. I was told that this was specifically selected as Amritsari macchi always uses this and the dish is cancelled if this particular variety is not available.
Railway mutton curry – a Wham-O of a dish with a burst if flavor and melting succulent chunks of mutton. The addition of baby potatoes gave me a taste of Kolkata.
By this time I am bursting at the seams but what is all this without a sweet ending?
Ras Malai – .The texture of the ras malai was brilliant and the best part is, it’s perfectly sweetened without a heavy hand. The cold milk was refreshing
I abhor warm ras malai and usually avoid it in most places but this sure ain’t one of them.Absolutely divine end.
That rauchbier !!! Creamy, smooth body and mouth feel.
