Slices of Memory – Nirula’s, New Delhi

The place for sundaes and pizzas before the time of Dominos, pizza huts and papa jones what nots. I remember the crowd that used to gather for the pizzas. Now that I think about it those pizzas were regular sized and probably not in the same range as as today but the pleasure of those pizzas can only be compared to sheer ecstasy. The sausage and salami such new concepts for me when I just shifted from Hyderabad. The sundaes was to kill for when someone tried breaking the line and to die for after getting it. I still remember the changes when it opened in Noida and I was excited and forget the number of trips with my friends here. The pegasus salad bar which I thought was a crazy concept then. I mean who eats only salad? Err I still ask that question now 😀 Is it still around? Would love to do a foodie nostalgic trip someday and take my better half to my childhood haunts
