In December after a Bangalore hash run we decided to eat at some dhaba on the way. When I searched in gmaps I found this interesting place called Khalsa Punjabi Family Dhaba on the Bengaluru Tumakuru highway in Nelamangala. The place is a good dhaba setup with the khatiyas in place. What really sealed the deal was a tv serial that was running and was in Punjabi!! Yeah this is the real deal run by a true blue Sardar.

What we wolfed at Khalsa?
Chicken Kabab – regular Karnataka style oil fried kabab for the kids
Dal Mughlai – a rich and decadent dal mixed with eggs. Exquisite and filling
Anda Kheema – broken eggs made into a rich gravy.
Butter rotis – can’t not have butter rotis in a place run by a Sardar
Butter Nan for the kids

The dinner was delightful, filling, quick attentive service and easy on the pocket. Fantastic place which I plan to come back to since it’s only about 65 kms from my place through NECE road.
