Carnivore Diaries – Naati Cafe

Naati Cafe is part of the carnivore series where Phenomenal World covers local non veg cuisines from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. If a hotel makes it to this list, it is awesome.

Naati food for me is about the robust flavors: the hit of local spices and heat. I can’t get enough of discovering new places to set my taste buds on fire. Naati Cafe is one such place with all that and more.

What we Wolfed at Naati Cafe?

Mutton pullav – light spices with tender succulent chunks of mutton

Ballari chilli chicken – this surprised me. The flavors gets to you very slowly and the heat by the second or third mouthful. Very clever

Brain fry – one of my fav part of the lamb/goat, this was just brilliant.
Chicken sukka – very in your face masalas. Everyone at home liked this.
Mutton chops – Nothing touches the soul like a well made chops and this was as good as it gets
Cold payasam – the only way I enjoy payasam
The food is so light and flavorful that it danced along the tongue and settled lightly in the belly. Doesn’t leave you bloated. Very economical on the pocket too. A parcel was a must after the dine in.
They have a lot of options in the evening and in veg. This is going to be a regular place.

Naati Rating – 4/5
