Risotto Gustoso

R,rice,risotto,prawn,food,tasty.heavenly,a-z,a2z, a2z challenge, pravs, praveen, throo da looking glass, through the looking glass, bangalore blog, praveenStarted with frying the garlic and a little Cayenne pepper mix in butter till it hits ur nose. Added the rice soaked in water(did not use any special rice for this)and stir till it loses the starch. Add water (two cups for every one cup rice) and keep it in sim. Meanwhile in the other stove I did the same with prawns (half cook it ) and added salt and chilly flakes at the end. Add the prawns to the risotto and let it cook to get the flavor of the prawns. Stir the risotto occasionally to avoid it sticking to the bottom of the vessel…  While serving sprinkle some parmesan, cheddar, oregano and mixed herbs and some fresh herbs as well. Chilly flakes is your choice. I like mine HOT.

The veggies may skip the prawns part and add other veggies. They just have to be fried with butter and garlic. I usually avoid potatoes to avoid the starch.  (I like eating them in other ways though)

    1. and I am not much of a Biryani fan. I tolerate it if I dont get anything else and usually prefer mutton. Nasi Goreng is something I make at home occasionally

  1. Looks tempting- I may give this a try when I am back to solids soon. The veggie version, obviously 😉

  2. I love risotto but have cooked it only a couple of times because of the effort of having to stand in the kitchen the whole time while stirring the pot! 😀 This looks amazing…being a foodie, these posts are making me hungry now!
