RK Dhaba features in this series on dhabas. When it comes to comfort factor during travel highway dhabas fill this gap with elan. The khatiyas and homely atmosphere and food fill the soul and tummy like no one else can.
One our favorite time and tested places is RK Dhaba at Sathnur about 65 kms maybe from Bangalore. We always stop here when coming back from Talakkad or Malavalli. Their food has always been great and service really impeccable. One of the best lemon chicken, butter rotis and dal tadka. Yes they do serve beers and alcohol 😁
What we wolfed at RK Dhaba?
UB Premium beer – This is my go to beer when I have had enough of crafts. One of the finest commercial lagers which has not changed over the years.
Lemon chicken – their best dish in their menu I would say. Brilliant
Andhra chilli chicken.. kick-ass gravy. Spicy AF
Kalmi kabab – well made, nicely done
Chicken fried kabab – for kids. But it was great
Egg Fried rice
Gobi Manjuri 😃 street style with a lot less food color
Butter rotis – exactly made to your specifications
Dal tadka – absolutely brilliant with the right hit of spice and flavors
Egg bhurji (not spicy.. for kids) we ended up finishing it though 😁
Stay away from their fish dishes. Not good.
Everything was just perfect and great setting for a family.
The cost is little on the higher side for a Dhaba but it’s well worth it. Some glimpses
