This 4.5 m high and 8.23 m long monolith sculpture of Nandi can be found in Lepakshi, Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh. The big granite bull is on the main road, about 200 metres from the temple. It has been positioned such that it faces the Shivalinga shielded by a huge serpent inside the temple. That particular sculpture was covered last week in this blog here. Said to be the second largest monolith in India.
Nandi in Hindu mythology is said to be Lord Shiva’s ride and gatekeeper.
