Bannur teri muttonia laage sexy.

The name Bannur is synonymous with mutton from the sheep. The fat in the sheep is what sets this apart. Though I prefer goat over sheep because its more of lean meat, I would make an exception for this place. When the militry hotel itself is in Bannur, you know your mutton dreams will come true.

What we wolfed at BMH?

Ragi mudde (3 balls) – This is standard fare in all militry hotels in Karnataka. Made with foxtail millets, this is extremely healthy and filling. Usually eaten by farmers and workes for all day energy.

Mutton curry (2 plates) – Beautifully done mutton morsels in a lovely peppery gravy

Khaima unde (2 plates) – Mutton mince meatballs again in a lovely spicy gravy.

Mutton fry – Exquisitely fried mutton with a burst of pepper, chilli and curry leaves

Mutton Biryani – This is less of a biryani and more of a pullao. Really nice flavors

Bheja fry – My favourite part of mutton, this was made extremely well.

Chicken biryani (wasn’t me !) –  Not a very fowl person when eating out, this place cannot go wrong with Biryani

Total bill Rs. 900 including tips. Some glimpses
