Fine Dining Experience by Students – IIHM

I have always been part of most IIHM programs and they were all conceptualized very well with a lot of learning for the students and the guests. This time was no different. As part of an exercise for the second year, I was part of an exclusive fine dining lunch exercise by IIHM Bangalore for the 2nd year students.

A pop up fine dining restaurant was setup with the Chandrayaan theme. Lovely decor with the milky way, a mock-up and soothing background music was created by the students. They even had some dressed as scientists to complete the theme.

Today’s cuisine was Hyderabadi. Our host was Sudhan Arghya who explained the menu and took care of the lunch like a pro.

The welcome drink was a kala khatta mocktail. The tangy taste made it easy and refreshing on the palate.

First course was Hara Bhara kabab which was lovely. The fact that they made me eat veg and still keep me happy should tell about the dish

Second course was sheermal, dum ka murg and Shahi pulao. The chicken was exquisitely cooked and moist with a lovely gravy. Sheermal was fresh and went well with it. The Shahi pullao had a great flavor of saffron.

The Shahi Tukda was a great end. The rabdi was thick and rich.

I would shell out a good amount of money for this experience in any good restaurant. To think the decor and food was done by the students is mind-blowing.

As usual #iihm puts up another lovely event which is filled with learning and fun.

Thank you Elizabeth Iihm Bangalore Sanchari Chowdhury for including me in all your events and Sumin for inviting me. Enjoy the snaps
