The satara dhaba on national highway 4 Thippareddy Autonagar on the Pune highway, about 250kms from Bangalore is run by 4 transgenders Bhavanamma, Raziyamma, Lathika and Thilaka. Dishing out amazing veg food with egg dishes on demand only and not part of the menu. Transgenders reminds me of those groups who stand at traffic signals and demand money they don’t deserve. However, these entrepreneurs have been making hungry truckers and travelers very happy. We stopped by for a kadak #chai and that was an eye opener. We had stopped by for food ages back and it was just brilliant. This is also in the list of the 20 must visit dhabas in India. Read their story here
